Simplicity Retreat: An Online Weekend of Practice and Discovery
Upcoming dates to be announced

The opportunity to commit to a weekend of simple quiet, to listen deeply and closely to our innermost truth, is precious. Most of us are caught up in a whirlwind life of hurry, acquiring, and achieving. The Simplicity Retreat is an opportunity to pause and offer yourself the gift of quietude, restoration and insight—and to support others who want to do the same. Separated by time zones, we will come together in a timeless zone—a live online gathering through which this weekend retreat will unfold.

Designed for graduates of the MBSR or MBCT course (or for those who have an established formal mindfulness practice), this silent retreat is for anyone who wants to release their usual busy pace, to see more clearly into the nature of being. You will be invited to give yourself space, sweet care and the opportunity to let go of the usual pressures to become and achieve. In doing so, each will hold the space for others to extend kindness and simplicity to themselves. A commitment to welcome all of who you are, while holding to a high standard of practice, will form the container for group practice.

Note: Participating in this retreat satisfies the requirement of attending a 3-day, silent, teacher-led retreat before entering the East Coast Mindfulness MBSR Teacher Training Pathway.

This retreat is led by Margaret Fletcher.

During this retreat you will:

  • Practice mindfulness intentionally from the space of your own home
  • Live an entire weekend with the intention to befriend yourself and this world, simply and fully
  • Hear teachings on the value of your natural awareness
  • Relate with the story of your life from a fresh perspective
  • Experience silent group practice with meditators from various areas of the world

At the end of this retreat you will:

  • Explore ways to live from your innate, spacious awareness
  • Establish the ground for open-hearted relationship with yourself and others
  • Recommit to meeting the moments of your life with friendliness and wonder
  • Apply insights from the weekend to your everyday life

The Simplicity Retreat is open to graduates of the MBSR or MBCT course, as well as those with an established mindfulness practice.
