2022 New Year, New Moment Online Retreat
Saturday, January 8, 2022, 9AM - 4PM (US Eastern Time)
with Margaret Fletcher

To take care of a life in mindfulness, we need to carefully tend what we most value. Spending time in sustained formal retreat can provide an important means for nurturing your practice. Let’s have this day together as 2022 begins, to live inside the desire and the experience of wakefulness.

In this daylong silent retreat, you will be guided in a day given over to being present, aware and attuned to life unfolding. Together in silent community, we will weave practice right into the ordinary and extraordinary moments of life. A commitment to welcome all of who you are, while holding to a high standard of formal practice, will create the container for group practice. The day will conclude with time to reflect on the experience of sustained practice and to speak together about the value and challenges of time on retreat.

Designed for graduates of the MBSR or MBCT course (or for those who have an established formal mindfulness practice), this silent retreat is for anyone who is wondering about or wishing for extended retreat time to serve their ongoing mindfulness practice.

This retreat is led by Margaret Fletcher.

During this retreat you will:

  • Begin your year intentionally with the practice of mindfulness
  • Live through an extended day with the intention to befriend yourself, your life and this world, simply and fully
  • Establish the felt sense of practice right where you live, in your own home
  • Engage with the particular kind of guidance and teaching offered on retreat
  • Explore what nourishes you and what challenges you in the experience of intentional silence and awareness
  • Participate in dialogue with fellow retreatants around the potential and lived experience of sustained time on retreat

At the end of this retreat you will:

  • Engage/refresh your commitment to meeting the moments of your life with friendliness and wonder
  • Establish the ground for wise relationship with yourself and others
  • Bring insights from the retreat to apply in your everyday life
  • Consider for yourself whether and when longer retreats might be beneficial for you

This extended day retreat is open to graduates of the MBSR or MBCT course, as well as those with an established mindfulness practice.
