Margaret has been helping people to come alive through mindfulness for almost 20 years. Prior to coming to UMass CFM to study, teach and train professionals in MBSR, Margaret was guiding teacher for White Mountain Sangha, a non-dual meditation community in NH. She has developed programs and courses for non-profits, corporations, churches, city and state governments, hospitals, schools and universities. Her great love is being together with colleagues to wrestle with the question: what makes a great mindfulness teacher? She was invited to join an international cohort of mindfulness trainers to document best practices for guiding teacher development, and has trained with Bangor University in assessing teacher competency using the Mindfulness-Based Interventions Teaching Assessment Criteria (MBI-TAC). She is the featured teacher in the online Anticancer Lifestyle Program. Margaret brings over two decades of experience in corporate, small business and non-profit settings to her teaching and training. She is a founding member of the NH Professional Mindfulness Community.
